(Eeyore's Comforter and Tail-finder)--in fact, Pooh himself--said something so clever that Christopher Robin could only look at him with mouth open and eyes staring, wondering if this was really the Bear of Very Little Brain whom he had know and loved so long.
1- yated neeman this week has a front page article about "Binyomin Netanyahu," I wonder if other Israelis of whose politics they approve less merit similar ashkenazation.

He said to himself: "If a bottle can float, then a jar can float, and if a jar floats, I can sit on the top of it, if it's a very big jar." ... "All boats have to have a name," he said, "so I shall call mine The Floating Bear." And with these words he dropped his boat into the water and jumped in after it. For a little while Pooh and The Floating Bear were uncertain as to which of them was meant to be on the top, but after trying one or two different positions, they settled down with The Floating Bear underneath and Pooh triumphantly astride it, paddling vigorously with his feet.

"Incontinents" makes sense if the other aisles were labeled "People with Headaches," "Feverish People," "People with Small Papercuts," etc.
Somehow I think if they referred to Shimon Peres as "Shimon Persky" it would not be taken as approval.

1- i don't know what they tell you in lawyer-school, but please refrain from posting in the passive voice on this blog ;)
2- anyway, assuming you meant that i would be the one doing such "taking." i will respond:
a- i don't think that mistake is analogous, but
b- assuming there was an analogous switch, i might suspect that it was equally political.
c-of course, there is the problem of terrible copediting at most jewish newspapers, which casts doubt on the intentionality of any spellings. However, that said, I said what I did because I remember* an article (though I forget in which of the frum papers. about shemtiah, i think) that refered to "Rabbi Abraham Isaac Kook" and "HoRav(insert name of charedi person - I forget the details)."
*fine, so by remember i mean forget most of the details, but you get the point...
