weatherphone?

in boston, there is a number you can call to hear the weather forecast for the day (and week, if you stay on the line that long...). Is there such a thing in new york?

I did research on this when I first moved to NYC, and apparently, the answer is no. I think such a service used to exist, but no longer does. This information is about three years old, though.

1. You can txt GOOGL (46645) with the words "weather 10011" or whatever zipcode you want and Google will txt you back the forecast. You can also Google txt movies, sports, etc.

2. 800.555.TELL will give you the weather if you say "weather" at the main menu.
